INGREDIENTS
½ cup moong dal, 1 tsp cumin seeds, powdered, 2 dry red chillies, ½ tsp ginger paste, 1 tsp red chilli powder, 1 tsp salt, 1 cup mixed vegetables (potatoes, raw papita, sarson, radish and red pumpkin), ghee, as required
METHOD
• Heat ghee in a pan and roast the moong dal on low heat for five minutes. Keep the roasted dal aside.
• Again heat ghee in a cooker and add the cumin seed powder, dry red chillies, ginger paste and mixed vegetables.
• Stir and allow it to cook for five minutes; then add the chilli powder, salt and the roasted dal.
• Add water and pressure cook the dal for 15-20 minutes.
• Remove the moong dalma and serve hot with steamed rice.
