INGREDIENTS
1 cup sugar, 2 cups water, 2 cups white flour, 4 tbsp ghee, ½ cup dried coconut, grated, ½ cup mixed dry fruits (almonds cashews, pistachios, raisins), chopped, ½ tsp nutmeg powder, ½ tsp cardamom powder, a few cloves, for pinning, vegetable oil, for frying

METHOD
• Prepare sugar syrup with sugar and water and keep it warm.
• Add flour, water and ghee and knead the dough in circles to form small puris which can be shaped into a cone or an envelope.
• Prepare a mixture of coconut, dried fruits, nutmeg and cardamom powders.
• Fill the envelopes with this mixture.
• Fold and pin the envelopes with the cloves; fry the envelopes in hot oil.
• Dip the fried envelopes in the sugar syrup.
• Hold the envelope in a slanting position for some time to let the excess sugar solution drip. Serve.
