INGREDIENTS
1 cup curd, 1½ cup wheat flour
For the stuffing
1 cup sattu, 1 tsp ginger paste, 4 green chillies, ½ cup coriander, chopped, ½ tsp kalonji, 1 tsp lemon juice, 1-2 tsp pickle masala, 1 tsp dill seeds, salt to taste
METHOD
• In a vessel, mix all the ingredients of the stuffing and add a little water to moisten the mixture. Keep the stuffing aside.
• Mix the curd along with the wheat flour and knead into dough.
• Divide the dough into equal-sized portions.
• Roll out into small rotis and place a portion of the stuffing in it.
• Pull up the sides of the rotis around the stuffing and seal the edges.
• Bake the chokhas in an oven at 375˚ C.
• After baking, add a little ghee and serve hot with butter and pickle, or chutney or baingan bharta.
