INGREDIENTS
300 gm alsi seeds (flax seeds), 500 gm wholewheat flour, 350 gm desi ghee, 350 gm sugar, 150 gm cashew nuts, crushed into small pieces, 150 gm almonds, crushed into small pieces, 100 gm raisins, chopped, 120 gm sesame seeds, 2 gm cardamom powder
METHOD
• In a thick-bottomed pan, roast the alsi seeds on medium flame, for about 3 minutes or until they start to crackle. Let them cool down, and then crush them.
• In a thick stainless steel wok or kadhai, dry roast the wholewheat flour for around 10 minutes on
a simmering flame until the flour gets grainy and becomes light brown in colour.
• Add desi ghee and mix well.
• Let the mixture cool down to room temperature.
• Add sugar, crushed roasted flax seeds, chopped cashew nuts, almonds, raisins, sesame seeds and cardamom powder in it; mix well.
• Take about 50 gm of the prepared mixture and roll it between your palms into round balls for lip-smacking laddoos.
